Spring Trends

March 5, 2013

Spring is coming and you know what that means; peeling of the winter layers, finally kicking off your rubber goulashes and retiring your collection of wool scarves until next year. We are so excited to leave everything winter behind and rush into stores for a new closet full of fresh new spring-wear. And spring trends aren’t just for clothes, you know. We scoured the internet for the hippest, happening-est eyewear trends for spring. Forecast: looking good!

Electric Brights

What would spring be without an influx of poppy, fun colors. Bright and neon accessories were all over the runways for spring, and what better way to wear the trend than on our fave accessory: glasses. Be careful not to overdo it; limit your florescence to a few key details and leave the rest of your outfit pretty neutral if you don’t want to end up dressed like a teenage raver.

Natural Beauty

Gorgeous baroque detailing and earthy tones and textures create a naturally feminine look. This trend is classically timeless and easy to wear making it an excellent investment for spring and beyond. In eyewear the trend is manifest in gold detailing and neutral colors, creating a girly and flattering aesthetic.

Graphic Mod

Black and white stripes and polka dots covered the springtime fashion shows along with allusions to 60s mod style and bold cat-eye frames. Simultaneously timeless and trendy, the cat-eye style is a fantastic way to imbue the latest trends into your wardrobe while making a smart investment.

Gradient Transparency

The “ombre” look that’s so popular in hair was echoed on the runway in the form of graceful and transparent layers and now is manifest in eyewear in the form of gradient transparency. We love how it gives a softer, feminine edge to even the most bold acetate frames.

Feel ready to take the plunge? Try out the trend with these gorgeous Konishi frames, KA5733.
